When you first read about the professions that will be popular in the near future, you will all find them interesting. When I read about these professions to the people around me, most of them said, “Go to work, are there any professions like this?” I get the answer. Maybe it seems distant to all of us, but we have to accept that the world is changing rapidly.

The research conducted by Oxford University this year reveals remarkable results. According to the research, 47% of existing jobs will disappear in the next 25 years. When you read this sentence, you think “I wonder if something like this could happen?” I can almost hear you say. Technology is advancing incredibly, artificial intelligence and robots are developing so much, I think it would be a blessing. In the research; There are many professions such as engineers, doctors, teachers, lawyers, accountants, taxi drivers, firefighters, sales – call center employees, real estate agents, secretaries and economists. It is clear that the future is dangerous for those who have these professions or those who will choose these professions. These professionals please do not be angry with me. You can be angry at Oxford University. Another detail in the research report is that positions belonging to blue and white collar workers are also in this risky 47% slice. Beware of!

How much did we use social media years ago? Now it has become an indispensable part of our lives. As the use of social media increased, a profession called social media expert emerged. Those who work as social media experts in corporate companies also earn a very serious salary. Could we ever have thought that there would be such a profession? The comment is yours.

As a country, we must now move away from daily sterile conflicts and unnecessary issues. Issues involving technology should be on our agenda at least as much as other issues. According to the news of Anadolu Agency;

“ITU Rover Team”, consisting of Istanbul Technical University (ITU) students, represented Turkey by winning the fourth place in the final of the Interuniversity Robotic Vehicle Competition (URC), in which it participated for the first time.

This year, 82 teams from 13 countries applied to the competition, which was first held in 2007. ITU Rover Team placed fourth in the science category with the vehicle named “Altınay Mars Explorer” that it designed and produced.

The team, which left many of the world’s leading countries behind technologically, managed to get its name among the top 13 teams from 7 different countries.

We do not know exactly what kind of world awaits us in 10, 20, 30 years, but it is obvious that the world is changing rapidly. We must prepare now to meet the needs of the upcoming period. We must educate ourselves so that we can find the best place in the changing world. Unfortunately, the end of those who do not improve themselves and do not keep up with change is certain.
